Abstract

Ayub 28:20-28 menghadirkan perenungan mendalam tentang hakikat hikmat dan sumbernya yang sejati. Dalam perikop ini, penulis menegaskan bahwa hikmat tidak dapat ditemukan melalui usaha manusiawi atau kekayaan duniawi, tetapi hanya melalui hubungan yang benar dengan Allah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara eksposisi teks Ayub 28:20-28 dan menemukan implikasi teologi dari perikop ini dalam kaitannya dengan konsep takut akan Tuhan sebagai landasan hikmat. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan analisis eksegetis terhadap teks serta kajian teologis yang menghubungkan konsep hikmat dalam kitab Ayub dengan tradisi kebijaksanaan Ibrani secara lebih luas. Berdasarkan metode  kualitatif, studi literatur, maka penelitian ini menemukan beberapa nilai hikmat, yaitu: Pertama, Hikmat tidak dapat ditemukan melalui usaha manusiawi (Ayb. 28:20-22); Kedua, Hikmat bersumber dari Allah dan berakar dalam takut akan Tuhan (Ayb. 28:23-28); Ketiga, Hikmat menjadi prinsip hidup dalam etika moral (Ayb. 28:20-28). Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam memahami bagaimana konsep hikmat dalam Ayub 28:20-28 dapat diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan beriman masa kini. Dengan menegaskan bahwa hikmat sejati berasal dari Allah, penelitian ini menyoroti relevansi nilai-nilai takut akan Tuhan dalam membentuk karakter dan kebijaksanaan moral bagi umat percaya.
